What kind of jobs can I get when I graduate?

When you graduate from State Tech, you can find jobs in your study of interest from several companies and businesses that ݮƵpartners with to provide the employers with the best employees. ݮƵhas a 99% job placement rate. Will I make good money when I graduate?

10 years into their career, a ݮƵgraduate will have a higher salary than graduates from most regional 4-year universities. The potential to make good money once graduating from ݮƵis high because of the excellent hands-on experience and education that our students acquire while enrolled.

Do I need a Technical degree to get the job I want?

Technical degrees are not a requirement, however, we strongly encourage people to have a degree in their area of interest. Having a technical degree provides students with excellent hands-on training before entering the workforce. This gives students the opportunity to learn more in depth about their program of study and allow them an advantage when applying for jobs and once they have gotten the job. A technical degree also comes with a potential for more competitive pay.

How can I figure out what I want to do?

A great way to find out what you would like to do is to come take a tour of campus. This will allow you to experience a closer look at the programs that are offered and what the students in those programs learn in their classrooms and labs. By visiting campus and experiencing the tour, this can help you decide which program you may be interested in.

Can I transfer to a 4-year university when I graduate?

Yes, you can transfer to a 4-year university after attending State Tech. We do recommend that you make sure your courses will transfer to the college of your choice prior to making any final decisions on where to transfer if you plan to do so.

What is an AJA@™ݮƵTranscript?

AJA@TMݮƵis a value-added service to students and employers that rewards students by giving employers more than the typical academic grade on a transcript. The decision to add an attendance percentage and a job readiness work ethic score on the transcript was based on a 2009 survey of employers. Little if anything has received as much positive reaction.
