If you like to go from big idea to modeling to making, our Precision Machining Technology program can help you craft your perfect career.Â
Through hands-on exposure to the very latest equipment and methods, you’ll be ideally equipped to step into an extremely high-demand career. According to the Manufacturing Institute, 3.4 million manufacturing jobs will become available in the next decade!
Our curriculum provides you the practical experience, knowledge, and proper judgment to plan, prepare, and operate precision machines that play a vital role in everything from mobile devices to cars.Â
You’ll learn about 3D modeling, computerized post processing, rapid prototyping, water-jet cutting, and CNC setup and operation. (With 15 Haas CNC machines, we are an active member of the Haas Technical Education Center Network.) Along the way, you’ll complete increasingly complex lab projects to develop your skills. And after completing your Level 1 projects, you’ll receive National Institute for Metalworking Skills Certification.Â
This program will also soon have a brand new state-of-the-art lab to call home. See the video below further down the page for a first look.
We believe time-on-task has to be part of your education. That means time spent learning from experienced instructors in real-world environments and real-world situations. That’s why the ²ÝÝ®ÊÓƵcampus is home to more than 50 labs, an automotive bay, aviation hangar, and 40+ acres of land dedicated to our heavy equipment operations program.
