Heavy Equipment Operations & Management

If you drive heavy equipment, you shape the world. No joke. Think about it. Bulldozers, backhoes, skid steers — when those big boys roll out, it’s to move a lot of earth or materials to reshape a landscape or construction site. And to drive one well takes a lot of skill. That’s where we come in. 

In just 2 short years in our Heavy Equipment Operations & Management program, we’ll show you how to safely and confidently get behind the controls of a wide range of heavy equipment. Where? On our 40+ acre operation training site, of course!

You’ll learn hands-on how to move, mold, and distribute soil using a diverse line of up-to-date equipment including dozers, scrapers, wheel loaders, backhoes, excavators, graders, and skid steers. 

Missouri Governor Parson recently approved a $15 million investment in the program, allowing for the purchase of state-of-the-art heavy equipment and supporting its expansion. Starting in fall 2025, the program will grow from 100 to 400 students, with 200 graduates each year and 200 interns every summer.

And when we talk about safety, we mean it. The curriculum includes first aid, CPR, and OSHA 10-Hour certifications so that you can work safely on any site. You’ll also be prepared to earn a Class A Commercial Driver’s License before graduation.

In the last several years, graduates of our Heavy Equipment Operations program have been in very high demand.
