As one of only four training programs in Missouri accredited by the Commission of Dental Accreditation and the American Dental Association, our Dental Assisting Technology is an ideal start to your path as a dental assistant.Â
Our 11-month curriculum starts in July each year and prepares you for the Certified Dental Assisting exam, a nationally recognized certification offered through the Dental Assisting National Board. You’ll learn a variety of tasks, including transferring instruments, mixing restorative materials, taking impressions, providing oral hygiene instruction, performing coronal polishes, and exposing and evaluating X-rays. After graduation, you’ll also be eligible for Missouri Dental Board approved Expanded Function Dental Assisting permits, which will allow you perform even more duties while assisting a Missouri-licensed dentist.Â
You’ll earn three distinct dental credentials:
